Campus Housing

For all alumni and guests assigned campus housing, central check-in is located at the Housing Tent by Dillon Gym. Hours include:

Thursday: Noon to 2:oo AM

Friday 9:00 AM to 2:00 AM

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 AM (Closed during P-rade)

Alumni and guests of the 65th reunion and Old Guard should check-in at Forbes. During check-in, you will receive your keycard, which will provide access to all entryway doors in your assigned dormitory and your room. Please carry your keycard with you at all times. Dormitory room doors will automatically lock when the door is closed. For your protection and the security of your possessions, always keep your room door closed and locked – do not prop the door. For lockouts, replacement keycards or room issues, contact the Housing Crew at 609-865-7889 or stop by the Housing Check-In Tent outside Dillon Gym open until 2 a.m. each night. The tent is closed during the P-rade. For lockouts after 2 a.m., contact Public Safety at 609-258-1000.

Your linen/pillow will be distributed to your room in advance of your arrival. You are welcome to take your linen/pillow home, however, linens/towels will be donated to Gradbag. For linen collection, place linens/towels in laundry bag provided and place inside your dormitory room door for pick-up unless you are staying in Whitman, Bloomberg, the Graduate College or Westminster Choir College. Leave pillow on bed for collection and donation to area animal shelter.  If staying in Whitman, bring linen/pillow to 25th registration tent and if staying in Bloomberg Hall, bring linen/pillow to 30th registration tent. If staying at the Graduate College or Westminster Choir College, bring linen/pillow to common room. All keycards must be returned on Sunday by noon to the closest headquarters site. Keycards will be deactivated at noon.

All dormitory entryway doors within the headquarters sites will be locked between the hours of 2:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. and will only be accessible with a keycard. Between 8 – 2:30 a.m., only dormitory entryways within the headquarters sites that lead to restrooms will be unlocked; all others will be locked. All dormitory entryway doors located outside of the headquarters sites will be locked at all times, except the dormitories located along the P-rade route for restroom access during the P-rade between the hours of 1:30– 5:30 p.m.

  • Hold keycard near numeric keypad. Door unlocks when green light is solid.
  • If door does not unlock (solid red light), contact the Housing Crew (609-865-7889).
  • Keycard provides access to your dormitory entrance, room and hall bathroom.
  • Dormitory room doors automatically lock when closed.
  • Carry keycard with you at all times.

Housing Customer Service – lockouts, replacement keycards, room issues

  • For housing issues, contact the Housing Crew at 609-865-7889 or stop by the Housing Check-In Tent outside Dillon Gym open until 2 a.m. each night. Closed during the P-rade.
  • For lockouts after 2 a.m., contact Public Safety at 609-258-1000.

Departure

  • Before departing campus, you must return your keycards to the closest headquarters site.
  • Dormitory rooms must be vacated by noon on Sunday.
  • Keycards deactivate at noon on Sunday.

Housing Checkout Instructions

If you received linen with your campus housing assignment, please do the following before you vacate your room (on Sunday or earlier):

  • Remove the pillowcase, sheets, and blanket from your bed and place these items along with your towels into the red laundry bag provided.
  • Leave the pillow on the bed, and place the red laundry bag, filled with linen/towels, on your bed so that it can easily be collected by Building Services.*
  • Return your keycard to the headquarters site closest to your dormitory room. Keycards will be reused next year.

* If you are in one of the following buildings, please drop off your red laundry back and return your keycard to the following location:

Whitman College: Please return the red linen laundry bag and pillow to the Whitman College headquarters site (25th reunion).  In addition, please return your keycard to the Whitman College registration tent. Keycards will be reused next year.

Bloomberg Hall: Please return the red linen laundry bag and pillow to the Cutler College headquarters site (30th reunion). I n addition, please return your keycard to the Butler College registration tent. Keycards will be reused next year.

Graduate College: Please return the red linen laundry bag and pillow to the OGC Common Room. In addition, please return your keycard to the OGC Common Room. Keycards will be reused next year.

Westminster Choir College: Please return the red linen laundry bag and pillow to the boxes in the lounge area in your dorm building. In addition, please return your key to your headquarters site (or Maclean House, if more convenient). A reminder that WCC charges a $50 fine for a lost key.

Note: The linen/towels will be collected, cleaned and donated to GradBag, a nonprofit organization that collects gently used dorm items and redistributes them to students from low-income households at a number of colleges and universities in the northeast. The pillows will be collected and donated to area animal shelters.

If you prefer, you can take the linen/towels and pillow home with you after Reunions. Please do not take the red laundry bag, unless you are keeping the entire bedding set.

As a reminder, you must vacate your Reunions room by noon on Sunday, June 2. Your room keycard will be deactivated at noon.
