SUMMARY:What Matters in the Age of AI: Creativity\, Judgment\, and Finding Your Path
DESCRIPTION:As artificial intelligence rapidly expands what machines can generate\, a deeper question emerges: what will matter most in how we learn\, create\, and make decisions? This interactive session begins with a visual and thought-provoking talk by acclaimed contemporary artist Xu FANG\, who will share how originality\, creative process\, and lived experience shape meaningful work beyond mere output. Through his artistic language and practice\, the session explores the roles of judgment\, taste\, and authenticity in an age of abundant generation. \nBuilding on these ideas\, a panel of Princeton faculty will discuss how students and young people can navigate important choices across different stages of life – from high school exploration and college major selection to graduate study\, mentorship\, and early career decisions. The conversation will focus on how to discover genuine interests\, develop perspective\, and make thoughtful choices in an increasingly AI-assisted world. \nDesigned for alumni\, students\, and families\, this session offers both reflection and practical guidance on how to grow\, learn\, and find direction in a time of rapid change. \nRegistration info \n\nSchedule: \n10:00 – 10:30 am: Check in. \n10:30 – 11:00 am: Art talk by Xu FANG and Qian LIN\, Creativity and Judgement: What AI cannot replace \n11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Mentorship panel by Prof. Stephen CHOU\, Kai LI\, Zhuang LIU\, and Wei XIONG: Finding Your Path in the Age of AI. \n12:00  -01:50 pm: Lunch and networking (REGISTRATION REQUIRED) \n12:00 – 12:45 pm: Ivy student panel: college application and campus experience by Merric Hu (PU)\, Katherine Lu (Columbia)\, Derek Wang (PU)\, and Zoey Zhu (Columbia) \n12:45 – 12:55 pm: Finding a career path that fits you\, by Sha Wang\, founding partner of Terra Magnum \n1:00 – 1:10 pm: AASF youth mentorship initiative\, by Prof. Kai LI\, cofounder of AASF \n1:10 – 1:20 pm: AAASE summer academy\, by Yuan XUE\, board member of AAASE \n1:20 – 1:50 pm: Career exploration/networking breakout sessions: \n\nFinance/Quant\, featuring Wall Street analyst and quant summer programs by Chun LIN\, MD at BoA\nFinance/Business\nArts/Humanities\nMedicine/Health\nSTEM\nLaw/Compliance\n\n12:30 – 1:50 pm: (Rm D112): K-12 Engineering workshop by Jonathan LIU \n  \nSponsored by the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies
