Register your child for Tiger Camp during Reunions

Tiger Camp is still accepting applications for childcare during Reunions, Friday and Saturday, May 26-27. The camp is designed to offer your child — ages 8 weeks to 12 years old — a safe, fun and caring environment while you enjoy your reunion. Managed by YWCA Princeton, the camp is located near campus at 59 Paul Robeson Place. Learn more

‘Babysitting’ not available on campus

The University does not provide childcare arrangements other than partnering with Princeton YWCA for Tiger Camp. Student crews are not permitted to care for or entertain children as they are busy managing reunion events, and the major reunions classes are instructed not to provide those services as they present serious responsibility and liability issues. Alumni are permitted to bring a babysitter or hire one locally. All arrangements should be made privately by the parents/sitter.

Wristbands needed after 5 p.m.

All registered alumni and their guests, including minors, will be given a wristband at check-in and it must be worn throughout Reunions weekend. If you or your minor child loses a wristband, please report it at the closest check-in location so it can be deactivated. Replacements are available for $100. Reminder: Wristbands are only needed after 5 p.m. to access the headquarter sites.

Stay TigerSafe

As Princeton grows, there are a lot of construction sites on campus, and it will be important to ensure that kids know how to stay safe. Available for download via iOS Apple Store and Google Play, TigerSafe is Princeton’s health and safety app, which includes notifications and alerts, tools for staying safe on campus, emergency response guides, orientation and maps features and other resources.

Cotsen Children’s Library

With a delightful treehouse for climbing and charming and fairytale-inspired décor, the Cotsen Children’s Library is a great place for your little ones to play and cool off during Reunions. The library, located on the main floor of Princeton University’s Firestone Library, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Cheer on your favorite teams!

From basketball to baseball and softball, not to mention frisbee and rugby, there are many athletic events happening all over campus. Review the Reunions website or peruse the app and filter for Athletics to review times and locations. Also, bring your kids down to the Front Lawn at Jadwin Gym and cheer on your favorite teams at the Tigers Fan Fest Athletics Celebration on Friday 12 to 1:30 p.m. Come celebrate another successful athletic year with giveaways, music, fun and snacks!

Battle of the Bands

Head over to the U-Store Courtyard with your kids and check out the Battle of the Bands, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Fred E. Fox ’39 Memorial Concert

A perennial favorite, the Fred E. Fox Memorial Concert will have your kids dancing along with the Princeton University Band as they perform on Cannon Green at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Support community service projects during Reunions

Kids (accompanied by their parents) can roll up their sleeves and join the Classes of 1973, 1978, 1983, 1993, 2003, 2013 and 2018 and the APGA to prepare food packages for local organizations such as Kids Against Hunger, Homeworks Trenton and Womanspace. Snacks, drinks and swag provided! All are invited to help from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Dance Building and Theater in the Lewis Center Arts complex.

A parade before the P-rade?

The Town of Princeton will host a Memorial Day Parade that starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday on the corner of Princeton Ave. and Nassau St. and travels to Princeton Monument Hall where there will be a short ceremony at 11 a.m. Veterans are invited to march in the parade, and kids can enjoy one P-rade after another.

Not just for the birds
Head to the Charles H. Rogers Wildlife Refuge located on West Drive off Alexander Street from 8-10 a.m. Friday for some fun bird watching and exploring with expert birder and guide Winnie Spar, sponsored by the Class of 1970.

Pop by the Art Museum Pop-up Shop

Visit the Art Museum Store’s Pop-Up Shoptent near McCosh Hall on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to find kids’ books, notecards, art supplies, puzzles, tiger totes and more.

Take a guided campus tour

Meet and hear from Orange Key Tourguides for a fun and informative campus tour. Meet at 36 University Place/Blair Arch Courtyard at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Navigating the college admission process

Is your teen ready to start looking at colleges? Dean of Admission and Financial Aid Karen Richardson ’93 and Mokyou Hyun ’97, chair of Princeton Schools Committee, will share tips and information about applying to Princeton and other higher ed institutions. The session will be held 2:30 to 4 p.m. Friday in Room 104 of the Computer Science Building.

Puzzles and Pastries

Explore games, digital fabrication technology and immersive media in a place that’s part lab, part makerspace and part artist’s studio and go home with a cool tiger puzzle made on a laser at the Council on Science and Technology 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday. Fun for the whole family!

Concert and fireworks display

The Princeton University Orchestra will perform under the night skies at 7 p.m. Saturday at Powers Field in Princeton Stadium, followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. What a way to end Saturday at Reunions!

Art for Families

Families with children of all ages are invited to stop by Art on Hulfish between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday to enjoy an engaging art project related to the exhibition “Traces on the Landscape.”

The One-and-Only P-rade

Make sure you pack their walking shoes for the One-and-Only P-rade, which starts at 2 p.m. sharp on Saturday. Check out the P-rade map to know where your class will assemble. Food trucks will be available for kids of all ages along the P-rade route.
