Juliana Ochs Dweck, chief curator, Princeton University Art Museum; James Steward, Nancy A. Nasher–David J. Haemisegger, Class of 1976, Director, Princeton University Art Museum.
Join Museum Director James Steward and Juliana Ochs Dweck, chief curator, for a lively and wide-ranging glimpse into some of the discussions that are shaping the new Museum, due to open in 2025. With the new Museum readying to open, it’s the perfect moment to consider how the design furthers the University and the Museum’s missions, integrates with the historic campus, seeks to advance goals such as transparency and accessibility, and enables new strategies for engaging the collections and exhibitions. How will the public, and especially students, encounter the collections on opening day? What values inform these choices, and how might they change over time? How does the design of the building inform the design of the galleries and public spaces and vice versa?
Reception to follow.
