Behind and Beyond the Walls: Research and Stories on the Impact of Volunteer Tutoring in Prisons

May 22 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Lewis Library, Bowl 120

Join Princeton alumni and experts from the Petey Greene Program (PGP) and its Puttkammer Center for Educational Justice for a powerful event unveiling new research on how tutoring is transforming education in prisons and jails. With over 1.2 million people incarcerated in the U.S., access to quality education remains limited for too many incarcerated students. Yet Princeton volunteers are proving what’s possible, and changing lives through education inside prison walls. Hear directly from Princeton alumni about the real impact that tutoring makes inside correctional facilities and beyond.
