Conversation | Hidden Stories: Preparing a New Art Museum

May 23 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

May 23, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm
Robertson Hall, 100 Arthur Lewis Auditorium

Alumni and friends are invited to join the Princeton University Art Museum’s James Steward, the Nancy A. Nasher–David J. Haemisegger, Class of 1976, Director, and Chris Newth, senior associate director for collections and exhibitions, for a lively and insightful accounting of some of the complex and challenging moments encountered while preparing the new building for the Museum. Whether the account be about reinstalling 2,000-year-old Roman mosaics or the riddle of bringing daylight into the new conservation studios, hear some of the hidden stories about the landmark new Museum as it readies to open on Oct. 31, 2025.

Light refreshments will be provided at the Art Museum’s Reunions tent following the event.
