King Lear

May 23 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

May 23, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Hamilton-Murray Theater

Theatre Intime’s Reunions production, performing for all to see. Considered one of the greatest plays of all time, William Shakespeare’s “King Lear” is a harrowing tale of power-hungry plotters and decaying families. Our unique staging will preserve Shakespeare’s brilliant language, while giving the show a contemporary twist. In this modern version, Lear — an almost washed-up stage director — casts his last play, “Antigone.” His children will do anything to star in what’s expected to be his magnum opus. Meanwhile, his producer’s son plots to get rid of his father, and Lear begins losing his grip on reality.
