Meeting the Moment as Princetonians: In the Nation’s Service and the Service of Humanity

May 22 @ 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm
McCosh Hall, Room 50

Princeton’s informal motto, In the Nation’s Service and the Service of Humanity, has never felt more urgent. At a moment when democratic institutions, constitutional rights and the rule of law face unprecedented pressure, what does it mean to live that motto? What can we do, as lawyers, organizers, educators, public servants, artists and engaged citizens, to protect what we value most?

Join us for a moderated panel discussion bringing together Princeton alumni and faculty across ideological perspectives and realms of influence for an honest and civil conversation about this pivotal moment in American democracy. In a time of great political divide, this panel will serve as a demonstration of the kind of thoughtful, principled discourse on which our democracy depends, as well as a launching pad for collective action.
