Everything you need to know about Reunions 2024

Welcome back to campus for another Reunions filled with orange-and-black spirit! As always, the schedule is packed with opportunities for learning, relaxing and, best of all, engaging with old and new friends and Tigers of all stripes.

The fun starts on Thursday, May 23, and runs through Sunday at noon. Thanks to the hard work of major reunion and satellite classes, graduate alumni, the Office of Alumni Engagement in Advancement, University departments and more, you’ll be able to enjoy a host of Reunions classics — Alumni-Faculty Forums, live music performances, a conversation with President Christopher L. Eisgruber ’83, fireworks and the one and only P-rade — as well as some great new offerings.

Check off these 12 To-Do’s for a roaring-good Reunions 2024 experience.

1. Pre-register. Yes, everyone must pre-register. Use your TigerNet ID and password to pre-register before you arrive at the welcome tents on campus.
2. Download three apps.

• The Princeton Events App lets you customize your calendar from the Schedule of Open Events and provides updates through notifications, including changed plans due to inclement weather. Use it to discover nightly entertainment options, transit services, exhibits, speakers and so much more.
• The Princeton Wayfinding App provides live, turn-by-turn directions to destinations on campus.
• The TigerSafe App gives you tools, including notifications and alerts, for a safe campus visit.

3. Have a gameplan. Use the Princeton Events App, the Reunions website or the printed Schedule of Open Events to choose your can’t-miss events, whether it’s watching a Triangle show, attending a class dinner or department reception, watching an athletic event or Battle of the Bands, or taking the kids to a storytime. Include the Annual Meeting of the Alumni Council on Friday at 11 a.m. to learn more about the Alumni Association and celebrate your fellow Tigers!
4. Hoping to send the kids to Tiger Camp? Spaces fill up fast at this program managed by the YWCA Princeton and headquartered at their facility on Paul Robeson Place. Flexible childcare is available for those ages 3 months to 12 years.
5. Make a plan for parking and transportation, and pack your patience. All hotel shuttle buses and Uber and Lyft rides will pick up and drop off at the Wawa Transit Hub. Driving? Consider Theater Drive Garage (previously known as West Garage) and Stadium Drive Garage. New electric buses are available to transport alumni and friends to locations on the perimeter of campus. Build time into your schedule for transportation delays: 25,000 other alumni and guests will be navigating the same roads. Use the campus map and the Wayfinding App to get there safely and surely.
6. Know your wristbanding site. First stop when you arrive on campus is checking in and getting your wristband. Visit the website for locations and hours. Please don’t assume you know where to check in — locations change!
7. Don’t be afraid to ask. The Reunions Ambassador Division (RAD) is here to help! Princeton staff volunteers wearing the RAD logo on caps and jackets can answer your questions all weekend long. They’ll be at welcome tents, driving golf carts and helping make your weekend activities safe and fun.
8. Get social: follow @PrincetonAlumni. Instagram, Facebook and Twitter/X accounts will give you live information on Reunions happenings. On Friday evening, check out the Trending Tigers Tent in the U-Store Courtyard. Enter by following @PrincetonAlumni on IG. Inside you’ll find loads of ways to engage with fellow Tigers: Make a 360-degree celeb-style video; post a selfie from the Tiger-spirited hedge; craft an orange-and-black friendship bracelet; and then recharge yourself with a snack and your phone with a charge station.
9. Learn the 2024 P-rade protocols. Find out where your class or cohort’s staging area is and check out the new path for the P-rade on this map. Post P-rade, participants can walk along the south side of Poe and Pardee fields to the Streicker Bridge, the eating clubs and campus. Also: sorry, but please keep your furry friends, with the exception of service animals, at home: the P-rade and Reunions are pet-free.
10. Know that Rovers are not taxis. Please remember that golf carts are for those with mobility issues only; don’t plan to use them as taxis to ferry you around campus. Pro tip: Happy Tigers wear comfortable shoes!
11. Enjoy the Orange and Black Oasis. Murray-Dodge Hall’s café is where to go for an alcohol-free experience of jazz, mocktails and delicious desserts. Sponsored by the Office of Religious Life, Students Recover, Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and the Princeton Alumni Association. Friday, 8 to midnight; Saturday, 4-6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to midnight.
