Registration details coming soon!
Old Guard Reunions welcomes Princetonians who are celebrating their 66th Reunion and beyond.
Details will be updated soon. Info from Reunions 2024 is preserved here for your reference.
Online registration is coming soon. You can also register by mail; a reservation form was mailed to your home. Please be sure to return your reservation by April 15. If you have any questions, please contact Dottie Werner at 609-258-5451 or tigerdot@princeton.edu.
Reunions events begin Thursday, May 22 with check-in beginning at 1 p.m. in the Forbes College lobby; check-out is by 10 a.m. Sunday. (Forbes is the former Princeton Inn on Alexander Road, now a student dorm.) There are no registration fees to attend Reunions; you pay only for the meals you select. Old Guard alumni and widows can reserve beds in Forbes. Limited numbers are available, so early registration is recommended.
During check-in, the student crew will be available to answer your questions and distribute the Reunions Schedule of Open Events program, meal tickets and room keycards. Name buttons will be provided, and you are welcome to wear your own class buttons. All registered alumni and guests will receive Reunions wristbands that are required to enter the major reunion sites after 5 p.m.
If you have mobility issues, we recommend someone accompanying you to Reunions. Please note: The University does not provide canes, walkers or wheelchairs. Please consider renting a personal golf cart for the three days of Reunions should you want to move freely around campus (scroll down for details). Golf cart rides for the P-rade are free.
Beds are available at Forbes for you and a guest at no charge, but they are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms have one or two twin beds (linens and pillows included) and private or semi-private bathrooms. Enter your request on the reservation form and submit your request as soon as possible. Due to the shortage of rooms, it may be necessary for singles to share a room.
Campus Housing cannot be reserved online.
If you prefer to arrange your own lodging, you can book a hotel nearby. Please note: Many hotels are already fully booked.
The signature event is the Old Guard Luncheon held Saturday at Forbes College with a reception at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:45 a.m. University President Christopher L. Eisgruber ’83 will attend and present the Class of 1923 Cane to the eldest returning alumnus from the oldest returning class, who has the special privilege of carrying the cane and leading the P-rade.
After the luncheon, shuttle buses will transport reunioners to the front of Nassau Hall for the P-rade, which begins at 2 p.m. sharp. (If you would like to ride in a golf cart during the P-rade, please indicate that on the reservation form.) At the end of the P-rade route, you and your guest(s) are invited to gather under the Old Guard tent, located next to the President’s reviewing stand, to watch the rest of the P-rade. Shuttle buses will be available to take you back to Forbes or the parking lots. Dottie Werner and the student crew will be on hand should you need anything.
Throughout Reunions, you and your guests are also welcomed to visit the major reunion headquarters sites on campus. Reunion Rovers, a student-driven golf cart service, will make continuous stops at major reunion headquarters sites, parking lots and program locations throughout the weekend.
The fireworks will take place on Saturday at 9:15 p.m. There is partial viewing from the Forbes front lawn. Chairs will be set up for those who wish to enjoy the show.
Almost all meals will be held at Forbes with wine included at all dinners. Table seating will be arranged by class year. Meal tickets will be provided in your registration packet upon arrival.
Cocktail parties will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. each night in the Headquarters Room, located near Forbes’ Main Dining Room. Student a Capella groups will entertain us during receptions and the Saturday luncheon.
For payment, select your meals at Forbes on the enclosed reservation form and return it with your check in the enclosed envelope.
Refunds will be not made after May 1. Your check(s) will not be deposited until after that date.
P-rade only: If you and your guest would like a ride in a golf cart in the P-rade, please indicate it on the form by April 29. There is no charge. P-rade carts cannot be reserved online.
Personal golf cart rentals are three-day only. Only four-seat golf carts are available for rental. (They include lights, which are required for driving after daylight.) Note: Three-day personal golf carts may not be used in the P-rade.
For questions, contact golfcart@princeton.edu.
There is no parking at Forbes. Lot 20 (near the bottom of campus) is reserved for the Old Guard, and you may park overnight.
Reunions Rovers and Tiger Transit shuttles will be available from the parking lots to take you to Forbes College, as well as other sites on campus. If you are staying at Forbes, you may drop off your luggage before parking your car.
The Princeton station is now across the street from Forbes College.
