May 23, 2:45 PM – 4:30 PM

The focus of the panel is on how the arts have a unique ability to inspire, to send powerful messages and to drive meaningful change. Each of our panelists will share their own perspective on the power of the moving image and its role as a catalyst in expanding our perspectives and elevating our voices. We will begin our discussion with a showing of Donna Weng Friedman’s award-winning short, “Never Fade Away,” a tribute to her father’s immigrant experience and how the waltz changed his life.
Moderator: Tina Treadwell ’80, president, Treadwell Entertainment.
Panelists: Richard Brody ’80, film critic, The New Yorker; Cecilia Peck ’80, producer/director, Rocket Girl Productions; Donna Weng Friedman ’80, concert pianist; Terry Wrong ’80, senior executive producer, See It Now Studios.
